Please join the CUIMC Asian & Pacific Islander ERG to celebrate Lunar New Year! This year we are celebrating the Year of the Snake with a lion dance performance, sharing different cultural traditions, interactive activities, and delicious bites. Join us on Thursday, February 20 from 3-5 pm at the CUSON rooftop!
Lunar New Year is one of the most important celebrations of the year among East and Southeast Asian cultures, including Chinese, Vietnamese, and Korean communities, among others. The New Year celebration is usually celebrated for multiple days. The holiday falls on the second new moon after the winter solstice. This year is the Year of the Snake, specifically, Wood Snake, representing wisdom, creativity, and growth.
This event is open to all CU ID holders, registration is required.
