50 Haven Ballroom Reopens with New Indoor Seating and Dining Space
The Division of Student and Campus Services recently opened the revamped 50 Haven Ballroom to the Columbia University Irving Medical Center community, offering year-round seating with a fresh, modern look. The space offers a comfortable indoor spot to unwind, study, or catch up with friends and colleagues, especially when escaping the inhospitable winter weather.
To celebrate the reopening of the space, the Office of Housing Services invited CUIMC students to enjoy Valentine’s Day-themed sweets and desserts and make their own greeting cards, thanks to Student Health on Haven.
With a focus on connection, collaboration, and camaraderie, this renovation is another step towards using physical space to elevate on-campus community building.
“I’m thrilled to reopen 50 Haven Ballroom as a dynamic gathering place for our campus,” says Diana Mejia, vice president for student and campus services. “With brand-new indoor seating and a design that brings people together, this revitalized venue promises to spark connections, foster collaboration, and serve as a lively hub for students and the wider CUIMC community.”
Whether you need a study nook, a spot to socialize, or a warm place to relax, 50 Haven Ballroom offers something for all members of the community. For more information or to learn about upcoming events, contact Student and Campus Services at campus_services@cumc.columbia.edu.
